Safety First
If you smell gas, suspect carbon monoxide, or see sparks, evacuate immediately and call 911. Do not attempt to operate your system if you suspect a safety issue.
Turn off the Boiler and allow the system to cool before attempting to bleed air
Locate the Boiler system bleeder valves typically at high points in the system
Use a bleed key or screwdriver to open the Boiler bleeder valve until water flows steady
Check the Boiler pressure after bleeding and add water if needed
Call for Boiler service if air continues to enter the system after bleeding
